1. Scallops taste delicious with sour cream and balsamic vinegar.
2. Corn flakes at the bottom of a bowl of vanilla ice cream makes me happy.

Tokyo, the getting there + the hotel, for now...
We left our house at 5am Saturday morning to catch our 7am flight from Tampa to Atlanta. Everything was running on time as we boarded our flight in Atlanta for Tokyo. We left on time (10 am) and began our 14 HOUR FLIGHT. Ugh...
Fortunately, there were individual t.v. screens for movie watching and playing of games because I could not sleep a wink. Even after drinking adult beverages and taking relax me pills, I was pretty much awake. Even the combined efforts of Shrek the Third and Surf's up could not knock me out!
All things considered, the flight went well, and was pretty smooth.
We arrived in Tokyo at 130 Sunday afternoon (with our bodies' time being somewhere around midnight Saturday night, a 13 hour time difference and all). The first thing I noticed in the airport (My friend mark told me of this phenomenon) was how quiet and clean the airport was. We had to wait in line for about 45 minutes to show off our passports and paperwork before getting our luggage. Then we breezed through customs with a customary hello and hand wave while viewing our passports once again.
An hour and a half bus trip later, we arrived at our hotel, Hotel New Otani. Check out the site, it is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at.
The next few hours are a blur considering I was half asleep, trying to keep awake so I could reset my clock to Tokyo Time.
More to come!
